I usually tell newbies getting into the space the best way to become a good professional writer is to first start as a terrible beginner. As I mentioned earlier, it is important to learn what writing is about, understand the basics of the industry, and so on. However, nothing can replace the spot of intentional practice. How do you get started?
1. Draw up a list of topics that interest you
2. Draw up a broader outline of that topic (i.e. subtopics you’d like to write about)
3. Research the different sub-topics
4. Go on to create your ugly first draft
5. Find someone with more experience to review
6. Star from step 1 again (and now do it much better!)
See you on day 4 ; )
Great tips. Yes, perfection comes from consistently repeating the simple steps. The catch is you must be willing to learn from your mistakes and getting better.
